Some things never change, damn uppity teens.
Clara Bow in garters & pearls, 1927. Typed on reverse:
Here’s a fetching picture of “Modern Youth”, in the person of Clara Bow, who made “It” popular throughout the civilized world. She is one of the most sensational of the younger movie stars and her last picture, “Rough House Rosie”, is now being shown. Her next will be “Wings”, Paramount’s epic of the air, which will be released in the fall.

THIS. This is why I love the internet.
”Rough House Rosie” break through!! OK, guys I’ve spent about a month researching and reconstructing the Clara Bow lost film “Rough House Rosie” from a horde of stills I’ve found. I put the pictures in chronological order (which, let me tell ya, was a bitch because almost no one has more than a 3 sentence summary of the plot) and narrated the entire journey still by still. I used old newspaper archives from all over America, the still surviving preview clip, movie magazine archives, and the previously mentioned stash of stills to build this up (and yes, it took FOREVER). I can justly say that I have one of the most in depth (and that doesn’t mean somber) reviews of this film. I hope you all will be as excited as me about this! I’m so thrilled! It’s a labor of Love for good ol’ Clara. Well, I invite you to come read it at my blog “They Had Faces”, here’s a link to the review. Oh, I really hope you guys like it!
P.S. Reblog, to help spread the word, or leave an anonymous comment at my blog to let me know what ya think. Who knows, maybe someone will walk into their basement and find an old film canister marked R.H.R. (I can dream, can’t I?). Anywho, Love y’all! Over and out!
